why can't we women of colour embrace one another?

Why can’t we women of colour embrace one another?
Why is it so difficult to show a sister love? I’m not talking about your blood sister but your colour sister! What happened to the sisterhood? What happened to unity?
Hi women of colour and my soul brothers my name is Abulele Mtanase and I am a woman of colour who loves her chocolate brown skin I’m a 1st year student at Walter Sisulu University and this blog is all about getting back the sisterhood, getting back the love for one another, embracing one another’s beauty and most importantly supporting each other and being powerful in our calling! This blog is for everyone not only a certain race or gender. It is so sad that today you can’t be successful and be a boss without being criticized physically by women! We don’t even know what the word sisterhood means anymore, we just bash each other and look down on one another. How will we be united and powerful in our calling if we can’t even support and just help groom a sister?
I don’t know where we lost it if you look at our mothers and aunts they had the sisterhood they lived it and breathed it! We don’t all we care about is our own statuses in society what we drive, what we wear, where we live and who we socialize with. It’s not wrong to worry and care about all that but love a sister how will our land be filled with fruits if we don’t sow the right seeds help a sister who is in need, there is nothing more powerful than a woman who embraces another woman’s beauty it’s just beautiful seeing a woman who is selfless and is there for other’s to lean on her. If the sisterhood is strong than we can be powerful in our calling we can achieve without being judged by other women we can do it all only if we keep the sisterhood going embracing the power that lies deep within us women!
Love yourself love your skin love your sister because in the end we all need each other let’s stop hating the success of other women and just embrace that women are making it for themselves it’s our time now let’s create a legacy as women of colour leave behind something which will benefit the next generation women of colour it’s your time now!

  1. Love love love! women have become so self conscious nowadays. women are the biggest critics of other women.. men act the fool cause they know there's another sister around the corner that has been wanting to ge what's yours. Sisters really need to boost each other so that men can act right.
